The Meaning Behind Our Name
VetVentionという社名に込めた想い
VetVention（ベットベンション）は、創設者である酒井肇が、Veterinary（獣医療）とIntervention（インターベンション／低侵襲治療）という二つの言葉を組み合わせて生み出した造語です。
この社名には、40年以上にわたり人医療の低侵襲治療に携わってきた経験を礎に、その知見と世界の革新的な医療技術を獣医療へ橋渡しし、より安全で、より身体への負担が少ない治療を動物たちへ届けたいという理念が込められています。
VetVentionは単なる会社名ではありません。世界のイノベーションと日本の獣医療をつなぎ、低侵襲獣医療の未来を切り拓くという、私たちの使命そのものです。

VetVention is a name personally created by our Founder by combining the words Veterinary and Intervention. Inspired by more than 40 years of experience in minimally invasive human healthcare, the name reflects a vision of bringing advanced interventional technologies to veterinary medicine and connecting global innovation with veterinary professionals.
More than just a company name, VetVention represents our mission to advance minimally invasive veterinary medicine and improve the quality of life of animals through safer, more effective treatment options.

40年以上にわたり、人医療分野における低侵襲治療（Minimally Invasive Therapy）の発展に携わる。国内外の医療機器メーカーおよび医療機器専門商社において、マーケティング、事業開発、製品導入、市場開発、教育活動に従事し、日本市場への革新的な医療機器の普及を推進してきた。
専門領域は、Cardiovascular Intervention（心血管インターベンション）、Structural Heart Disease（SHD）、Vascular Intervention、Non-Vascular Intervention、Interventional Oncologyに及ぶ。カテーテル治療、ステント、塞栓デバイス、血管アクセスデバイス、各種インターベンション機器など、多岐にわたる低侵襲治療製品の市場導入と普及に携わってきた。
市場戦略の立案、KOL（Key Opinion Leader）との共同活動、医療従事者向け教育プログラム、ハンズオンワークショップ、学術活動支援、海外メーカーとの事業開発、国内販売ネットワーク構築など、医療技術を社会へ普及させるための幅広い活動を経験。
現在は、40年以上の経験とグローバルネットワークを活かし、人医療で培われた先進的な低侵襲治療技術を獣医療へ橋渡しすることを使命としてVetVention Inc.を創設。「Connecting Global Veterinary Innovation」を理念に、日本の獣医療における低侵襲治療のさらなる発展と普及に取り組んでいる。
Hajime Sakai, Founder & Representative Director
For over 40 years, he has been dedicated to advancing minimally invasive therapy in human medicine. He has worked with domestic and international medical device manufacturers and specialized distributors in marketing, business development, product launches, market development, and educational initiatives.
His expertise spans cardiovascular intervention, structural heart disease (SHD), vascular and non-vascular intervention, and interventional oncology. His work has included introducing catheters, stents, embolic devices, vascular access devices, and other interventional equipment, as well as developing market strategies, collaborating with KOLs, organizing professional education and hands-on workshops, supporting academic activities, and building international partnerships and domestic sales networks.
Having witnessed how minimally invasive therapies reduce patient burden, improve clinical outcomes, and enhance quality of life, he founded VetVention Inc. to bridge advanced technologies from human medicine to veterinary medicine. Guided by “Connecting Global Veterinary Innovation,” he is committed to the further development and adoption of minimally invasive veterinary care in Japan.
